Description
Product Description
Castle Curtain Fire Dampers are passive fire protection devices installed in duct penetrations through fire-rated walls and floors. The curtain-style blade drops by gravity when the fusible link melts at 72°C, sealing the duct opening and preventing fire spread through the HVAC system. Available in 1.5-hour and 3-hour fire ratings per UL 555 and BS EN 1366-2.
UL 555 Rated
Tested and certified per UL 555 for 1.5-hour and 3-hour fire ratings — meets international building codes.
Dynamic Rated
Closes against airflow up to 2000 fpm — no need to shut down HVAC before closure.
Gravity Fail-Safe
Fusible link release triggers gravity drop — no power, motors or controls required for closure.
Manual Reset
Field-accessible reset mechanism — no replacement parts needed after testing or activation.
